My wonderful Mom just sent Henry some really cool flannel pants that she made him and they are too cute not to share! She used the BurdaStyle 10/2011 144 Boys Cargo Trousers Pattern and flannel from Joann’s and her stash. She made him the size 104, I believe, and they fit him perfectly… they needed to be cuffed, but she anticipated that and sewed an extra piece of flannel into the underside of the hem so they would look finished and nice when cuffed and also last a bit longer. She even cuffed them for him… now that’s service!
Anyways, here’s more pics…
A close-up of the front pockets where she used a hound’s-tooth wool-blend fabric as an accent.
And how easy it is to snap a few pictures of a child who is reasonable and will stand nice and still for a camera when asked (as opposed to a certain 2 year old girl I know who takes off the minute she sees a camera!). What a sweet boy he is… with some severe bed-head going on 🙂
And here’s his response to “Henry, how do you like your cool new pants that Nana made you?”
