Recently, I had so much fun testing the Trinity Tee by Rock The Stitch (Link to Buy the Pattern HERE), a very unique little tee pattern. The tee has a back piece that wraps around to the front, creating a triangle accent in front and no side seams. The back piece also comes forward a bit at the shoulder and the front piece has little gathers there. It has a high-low hemline, which I love, and gathered sleeves. It has options for short, 3/4, or long sleeves as well as with or without an exposed zipper in back.
I chose to make the 3/4 sleeves with the exposed zipper. The zipper isn’t necessary for dressing, but it is a fun detail and makes it easier to get on/off a squirmy 3 year old (or for her to do it herself). I made an earlier version of the pattern that didn’t have as much gathering in the sleeves and was able to ease in the sleeves with no gathering. In the final version, more gathers were added so the sleeves are definitely gathered.
The pattern also has a hem facing that can be visible or invisible and the choice to use a visible or invisible binding on the neck. I used an invisible binding on both the neck and hem.
This makes a really cute/practical/comfortable little shirt that’s different than just your average tee 😉
