Knit Hadley Tunic

There’s an adorable new top/tunic/dress pattern in town called the Hadley Top/Tunic/Dress by Sew a Little Seam and it is so simple and sweet but also unique!  It’s a pattern designed for wovens, but I tested it in knits and it worked great in knits too!  The pattern has the option for either a cap sleeve, flutter sleeve, or sleeveless as well as options for a basic top or dress or the tunic with elastic in the waist.  I made the tunic version, but I have another woven top version aaaaaalmost finished too!  I will share that one later this week!

I’m loving the square neck and the unique elastic square back, which makes closures unnecessary!  I’m also loving the unique little cap sleeve with a few little gathers right at the cap!  I used Art Gallery solid pink cotton/lycra for the yoke and straps and a jersey from Hancock’s for the rest.  I interfaced the front/back yokes and the straps with knit interfacing.  I also had to make the bindings shorter for the armholes to accommodate the knit fabric.

This one is definitely a summer staple!  Grab it while it’s on sale…there is a sale code in the pinned post of the Sew a Little Seam Facebook group for 30% off your cart.  The code is good until May 25th.
