I recently tested the Evergreen Bonnet Pattern by Twig + Tale and it was perfect timing because baby boy will be needing a winter hat soon! I actually made 3, but will blog about them separately since I have so many pictures and can’t narrow them down 😉
This pattern is super versatile because it can be made in lighter fabrics for summer or heavier fabrics for winter and also can be made for babies or big kids (pattern includes sizes for newborn to teen) and boys or girls! The pattern has tons of options…I chose to make mine with a chin-strap (pattern can also be made with create your own ties, self ties, or no closure) and I used the bear ears (several other animals are included).
The chin-strap is perfect for my little stinker who likes to pull his hats off 😉
For this version I used brown wool for the outer and knit that I interfaced with a super light interfacing to take away the stretch for the lining.
The Evergreen Bonnet Pattern will be on sale for $5 (normally $7.50) until midnight Friday 18th PST…go check it out, it’s the perfect way to use up scraps and would be a perfect use for an upcycle!
