My mom bought me this Cotton & Steel Vintage Floral Lawn designed by Melody Miller year or so ago from a local fabric store and I have been stewing ever since about what to make from it! Lucy refuses to wear anything day-to-day that she can’t get on completely independently, so I was avoiding back buttons/zippers. I decided to use Simplicity 8352 for the bodice and Simplicity 2377 for the skirt. Simplicity 2377 is NOT supposed to be maxi-length and I made a size 6 (Lucy is almost 6 and tall for her age), but the pattern ran way long and I decided to just go with it!
I really like this bodice pattern and I think the fit is nice (although I’m considering loosening the elastic a bit)
The important part is that Lucy seems to like the dress so that’s a win!
